MISSION STATEMENT

The Valley Youth Conference aspires to be an outstanding educational/athletic organization that provides a high quality experience to every athlete.

A high quality experience is one in which every athlete:

  • Is coached using the principles of safe play and teamwork in a structured atmosphere
  • Has fun at practice and games while building his confidence in himself
  • Feels like an important part of the team
  • Learns 'life lessons' that have value beyond the playing field
  • Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improves as a player
  • Learns the meaning of sportsmanship
  • Learns honesty, responsibility and a love of the game.
We recognize that coaches are the people who most directly make this all possible. It is our goal to provide every coach with the tools to succeed as a positive coach.

We are committed to creating a positive culture, in which coaches, parents, fans, officials and athletes work together to achieve our mission. To that end, we understand that our behavior is an example for the athletes to follow and that egregious and inappropriate behavior does not provide our athletes with a positive example. Such behavior on anyone's part, will be met with swift and decisive action on the part of the Club and the Conference.

Our children are our most precious possession, anything that inhibits their enjoyment and growth is viewed as being improper and self-defeating to our mission . Read more....

Did you know?  That through the almost 50 years of its existence the Valley Youth Conferences was the training ground for some outstanding Football players among them, but certainly not limited to just these few names, are: Charles White, Heisman Trophy Winner, Jeff Fisher, NFL coach and Malcolm Smith, the 2014 Super Bowl MVP !!!! Many other names of young men who have gone on to great success can be added to this list. That success extends well beyond the football field. We are so very proud of these gentlemen and the many coaches and other volunteers who contributed to their growth.

The Valley Youth Conference, Inc. (VYC) & The Pacific Coast Conference, Inc. (PCC), have entered into an agreement to join forces and form The Southern California Athletic Association. The parties have signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding' outlining this historic association. The member clubs of each conference have each enthusiastically agreed to work towards making this the most prominent Youth Athletic Conference in Southern California. Our Football, Cheer and Track programs are eagerly looking forward to the many advantages our athletes will derive from this association, i.e.; Bowl Games and Track Meets through Southern California. Imagine the challenge and thrill of being in a Championship Game or Track Meet in which you could become the best in all of Southern California!! We look forward to and hope that Parents, Players and other Conferences realize the opportunities and join us in this ambitious project. Learn more....
