[ valley youth conference ]

The Valley Youth Conference has been in existence since 1966. We are 100% volunteer with over 10,000 participants and encompass the entire San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, with parts of Westside and Pasadena. We offer a full year-round sport program, i.e., Basketball, Pop-Warner type Tackle Football, Track, and Cheerleading, for boys and girls from the ages of 5 through 14.

The Valley Youth Conference for over 40 years has been voluntarily helping boys and girls , many of whom are from single parent families - some from latch key homes - to develop athletically, academically and socially. The Los Angeles School Board and other area school boards have made this possible by providing use of their athletic facilities.

We are a nonprofit volunteer organization devoted to provide a safe, healthy environment for the youth to develop in both athletics and citizenship. We encourage scholastic achievement first and foremost, and have awarded thousand of dollars in academic scholarships since 1966 to graduation senior boys and girls who had participated.

Additionally, since its inception the Conference has been addressing the growing problem of obesity among today's youth. Every level of the football program is structured by a combination of maximum age and maximum weight, both of which are strictly enforced.
Consequently, many thousands of young boys and girls have benefited from the disciplined program that requires demanding standards of behavior and academic grades to remain eligible for team competition.

Further, countless youngsters trained by veteran coaches have parlayed their advanced development into more proficient high school athleticism which, in turn, enabled them to earn college athletic scholarships at institutions that they might not otherwise been able to afford.
The Valley Youth Conference develops and guides the youth of today into the leaders of tomorrow in business and commerce. Over the past forty years our members have grown-up, and returned to the Valley Youth Conference as coaches to offer other children the same benefit of a lifetime of rewarding memories and friendships. Over 7,500 families annually participate in all of our programs.

Over 50% of all the college/pro athletes in the U.S. come from California, specifically, the San Fernando Valley area such as USC football great and Heisman Trophy Winner Charles White, NFL Houston Oilers Head Coach Jeff Fisher, and Olympic 400M Gold Medal Winner Quincy Watts, to mention only a few. Therefore, our program demonstrates that we must be doing something right.

Please support our children.
